Releases: Haroshi x Uniful Limited Edition Skateboards

On September 5th, Japanese artist Haroshi (featured) introduced his limited edition skateboard decks released through Japanese skateboarding company Uniful. Thug For Life in the Shibuya district of Tokyo was packed with people that were interested in this release that instantly became hit in Asia. Along with the signed and numbered decks, the artist introduced a new sculpture that was made especially for this event. Previews: APAK – “Stardust Dreams” @ Outré Gallery

On Friday (September 13th), the Melbourne and Sydney locations of Outré Gallery will be hosting new works from APAK. Stardust Dreams is the name of the twin showcase from the artistic duo and will feature luminous paintings of their whimsical creatures and their friends in a cosmic setting. Releases: Mark Dean Veca – “20 Years” Book

LA based artist Mark Dean Veca (interviewed) recently released a new book 20 Years Works through Zero+ Publishing. Studio Visit / Preview: Nicola Verlato – “Pagan Pop” @ Merry Karnowsky Gallery

On Saturday night, September 7th, the Merry Karnowsky Gallery in Los Angeles will welcome back Nicola Verlato and his surreal paintings for another showing (see 2012). The new work is collectively entitled Pagan Pop, a reference to his contemporary take on late medieval narrative painting and the theme of how Western society has continually attempted to suppress its pagan roots.
