This Saturday night (February 23) at Corey Helford Gallery in Los Angeles, Camille Rose Garcia (interviewed) will be unveiling a new body of work entitled Web Of Stars. The exhibition features a selection of small paintings featuring her familiar palette, signature cast of characters, gothic feel, and Mexican culture-inspired elements. Garcia’s psychedelic new pieces include touches of cosmic imagery and references the interconnectedness of the universe, from the largest planets to the tiniest insects. POW WOW ’19 / Previews: “My Neighbor Hayao” @ Ala Moana Center

As part of this year’s POW! WOW! HAWAII, Spoke Art will be presenting a group exhibition entitled My Neighbor Hayao. The tribute show to the Hayao Miyazki features work from over 100 international artists (like Dan Mumford above) each contributing an interpretation of their favorite Miyazaki films, characters and scenes. This special weekend-only showing will be on view inside Ala Moana Center (unit 1234) from February 13-17.          

Releases: Mike Lee – “Bump & Grind” Figure Set

Following up his sculptural edition for last year’s ComplexCon, Mike Lee recently released a now sold-out figure set he called Bump & Grind. The porcelain dancers caught in an intimate moment are his first collaboration with Case Studyo and are three-dimensional representations of his signature faceless and bulbous characters.
