We recently got these nice photos from Nils Müller, showing German artist and muralist, Hendrik “ECB” Beikirch, working in his studio on a new body of work for his solo exhibition at Galerie Wolfsen in Denmark. Brooklyn-based artist Dan Witz recently opened a show consisting of a fresh series of paintings at Jonathan LeVine Gallery. Entitled NY Hardcore, this exhibition featured a new body of work that utilized his skills of old master painting techniques depicting hyper-realistic subjects. We experienced a healthy mix of portraiture and his high-energy mosh pit paintings that have been long enjoyed. It’s been a long time coming and finally Swoon (interviewed) unveiled her massive installation at the Brooklyn Museum. Entitled Submerged Motherlands, this exhibition ties together many themes by the talented and dedicated artist from Red Hook. Members of the French street-art collective Da Mental Vaporz are currently in Berlin, working hard on their upcoming collaborative exhibition, The Wall, opening on the 26th of May at BC gallery. The show will include a display of works in the two spaces of the gallery, as well as two large public murals that can be seen in the surrounding area. Tomorrow night, April 24th, the Antler Gallery in Portland will be presenting some new work from Josh Keyes (interviewed), in a joint showing with Neil M. Perry entitled Entwined. For his part, Keyes will be continuing the series of work last seen in his online showing (covered) earlier this year in his new style, bringing his imagery all the way to the edge of the painting surface. Last weekend, the Oakland Museum of California opened a new exhibition, entitled SuperAwesome: Art and Giant Robot, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the art and culture magazine Giant Robot. Along with a diverse selection of GR branded paraphenalia and publications, artists who have been involved with them over the years contributed original artwork as well as some wall murals. Fans saw a diverse collection of works from artists like Ako Castuera, Sean Chao, Luke Chueh, Hamburger Eyes, Andrew Hem, James Jean, kozyndan, Masakatsu Sashie, Shizu Saldamando, Rob Sato, Amy Sol, Deth P. Streets: Nychos (Oakland)

Austrian street artist and a member of the The Weird Crew from Europe, Nychos, recently spent a few weeks in San Francisco. His temporary residency consisted of working on his solo show at Fifty24SF, painting several murals around the city, and even doing some free tattoo sessions. Dutch street artist Laser 3.14 (featured), opened a solo show, Troublemakers Make The World Go Round, at Galerie Bart in his hometown of Amsterdam on April 12th.
