Videos: New Adobe Campus

For artists out there who read AM or those in the design field, Adobe is definitely a company they are familiar with for their series of computer programs including Photoshop and Illustrator. Rapt Studio, who designed the interiors, recently invited artists in to the Adobe campus in Lehi, Utah to do installations and murals including a piece from El Mac that we recently featured. Streets: Interesni Kazki (India)

As you saw from one of our Streets: World Roundup articles earlier this month, Waone from Interesni Kazki has been traveling through India. It looks like he was able to keep painting as photos a new mural entitled Sadhu have been recently released. The wall located in south-west region of Kerala on the Malabar coast features locally influenced imagery on topics like meditation and the peacock dance that is common in the region.  Check out some more detailed shots below… Discuss Interesni Kazki here.

Preview: POW WOW 2013

Upcoming: Jean-Michel Basquiat @ Gagosian (New York)

Coming up on February 7th at the 555 West 24th Street location of New York’s Gagosian Gallery is a new showing of work from Jean-Michel Basquiat. The last showing from The Radiant Child at the blue-chip gallery was at the London location during last year’s Olympics (covered). Releases: Swoon – “Thalassa” @ Paper Monster

Tomorrow (January 23rd) at noon, Paper Monster will be releasing a series of new editioned variants with Swoon. Entitled Thalassa, the iconic image from the New Orleans Museum of Art is transformed into an original piece of artwork. Streets: Philippe Baudelocque (Paris)

French street muralist Philippe Baudelocque recently painted a new piece in his home city in his signature style. The gorilla joins his menagerie of animals that have made it onto walls in Paris, rendered in a patchwork of abstract patterns. This was placed on the door of Magnum Photo’s Paris office. Showings: HuskMitNavn – “One Of These Days” @ V1 Gallery

After being introduced the intriguing outdoor works of HuskMitNavn during Komafest (covered) last year, we were curious to see how his work translated to the gallery setting. A showing at the V1 Gallery entitled One Of These Days gave us this opportunity to see some new drawings and paintings from the Danish artist in his characteristic colorful, humorous, and cartoonish style.
