Upcoming: Faile – “The Size of the Fight” @ Library Street Collective (Detroit)

Coming up on June 24th, Library Street Collective will be presenting new work from Faile (featured) in their first Detroit exhibition. The title of the show, The Size of the Fight, references Mark Twain’s quote, “It’s not the size of the dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog,” which can be applied to the Motor City’s revival in the last several years. Streets: Os Gemeos (Stockholm)

Recently in Stockholm, Os Gemeos finished a mural on Fiskargatan 9 on the side of a multistory building featuring their distinctive imagery. Organized by All You See Is Crime In The City and supported by Highlights Store, Montana Colors official distributor in Sweden, the piece depicts a few of the Brazilian duo’s yellow-skinned characters. Previews: Ludo – “I’ve Been Missing You” @ Magda Danysz (Paris)

On June 17th, Ludo (interviewed) will be opening a new show at the Paris location of Magda Danysz. The prolific street artists is often on the road so this exhibition entitled I’ve Been Missing You reflects his feelings for his hometown. Along with pieces featuring his distinctive “Nature’s Revenge” theme as well as signature green tint, this show will also feature an an installation made up of an army of fireflies whose phosphorescent light dazzles and envelops while questioning the relationship between men and technology. Releases: Banksy UK Election Print

Trying a new technique to further his political activism, Banksy has announced that he will be releasing a new print soon to coincide with the UK Elections on June 9th. He explains – “This limited edition artwork on archival quality paper is completely free, but is only available to registered voters in the Bristol North West, Bristol West, North Somerset, Thornbury, Kingswood and Filton constituencies. Streets: Telmo Miel – “Trollstigen” (Norway)

Recently in Gol, Norway, a new mural was painted by Telmo Miel entitled appropriately entitled Trollstigen. The Dutch duo explain – “They come in all shapes and sizes. Trolls, Beings from Norse mythology and Scandinavian folklore. Till this day they’re still being hunted by tourists, trying to get a glimpse of one of these creatures.” Discuss Telmo Miel here.
