Video: Blu Mural @ Deitch (Timelapse)

Blu has released a timelapse video of the “machine” mural he was working on at Deitch that we told you about previously.Â Take a look from start to finish as he transforms the building with gears and levers over several days.Â No doubt after completing this project, this prolific artist is off to paint somewhere else in the world. The “Beyond Eden” Art Fair we mentioned to you last month is set to open to the public tomorrow and run through the weekend (with some VIP previews on Friday).Â This multi-gallery event held at the LA Municipal Art Gallery at Barnsdall Park will include live painting, a screening of the Scribble 08 documentary, a special “Heroes & Villains” photo exhibition, and of course, lots of art. AM stopped by the Nuit Blanche festival in Paris and got to catch the tail end of JR and crew wheat pasting their ginormous photo installations for his “Women are Heroes” (previewed) show which is part of his 28 Millimetre project (We were wondering how he got to the lower parts of the bridges). Vernissage TV posted up a rare interview with JR about his “Women are Heroes” project in Paris that we told you about earlier.Â Included is some nice footage of the project that coincided with this yearâ€™s Nuit Blanche and really shows the impressive scale of JR’s vision.
