The San Francisco-based Andrew Schoultz is currently braving the heat in Miami working on a massive mural for Primary Flight that will take what sounds like over two weeks to complete. Seeing as this is only Day 6, fans heading over for Art Basel Week have much to look forward for when this insanely detailed and intricate wall is complete. Streets: Escif (France)

A while back, we gathered some photos of murals that Escif painted while in Niort, France, for the 1st edition of the Festival Le 4eme Mur (The 4th Wall).  Apparently there was one wall that we missed that could arguably be the most intriguing of the bunch from the Spanish street artist – a ghost motif that we have seen before from him, this time drifting slowly away from the body of of an animal as it dies… More photos after the jump…

ABOVE (interviewed), whose giveaway on AM of his new PASSPORT book we just announced yesterday, is currently in Miami preparing for his upcoming show with White Walls at the SCOPE fair next month. If you remember, we already brought you a video of a more political mural he painted earlier this month, and he has stayed on working on more massive walls in preparation for Art Basel Week. It looks like Swoon (interviewed) is in London at the moment judging from this piece seen on the streets by the good people at Hooked Blog. The wheatpasted image is modeled after the stunning Thalassa installation she created for the New Orleans Museum of Art back in June and is a marker for her upcoming show at Black Rat Projects next month. The Murmuration installation and show will open on December 1st and seeing that the NY-based artist is already in town preparing makes us excited to see […]

Streets: Herakut (Los Angeles)

During the past week, the duo known as Herakut were in Los Angeles as part of Wende Museum’s Behind The Wall project (covered). However, the artist collective also took time to do a large scale mural which featured their signature style and character design. The wall, which took two days to complete, sits not too far from the city’s Chinatown area and it continues to show the technique that the artists have perfected during their time together. Of note,Herakut will also be releasing a book […]
