Streets: Phlegm (New Zealand) – Part I

Recently in Dunedin, New Zealand, the ever busy Phlegm finished a new mural on the side of a structure featuring some of his signature characters riding a Giant Moa. The striking image features the long extinct flightless bird endemic to the area that could grow to 12 feet tall and weighed about 500 lbs. POW! WOW! Hawaii ’16 / Streets: Slinkachu

After a look (here & here) at most of the murals painted for this year’s POW! WOW! Hawaii, we now focus in on some of the work for the event that you may have missed. Created on a miniature level by Slinkachu, the tiny sculptures were scattered and hidden in plain site around Oahu, including underneath some of the muralists, leading to some interesting collaborations. Starting this week, artists have been hard at work painting murals for this year’s POW! WOW! Hawaii. Beautifying the streets of Kaka’ako in Oahu with their imagery, the participants get to enjoy the tropical weather and throngs of fans as they leave their mark at the annual event.
