Streets: Nick Walker – “Dopey” in Paris

Our friend Nick Walker (interviewed) is at it again, this time in France. He sent us some pics of the latest piece entitled “Dopey”. It’s his little twist on what he calls the “Dwarfs.” This is Nick’s most recent work on the streets of Paris since his Le Coran-can. Nice little tag there Nick, wonder what’s coming next? Update: The location is rue Oberkampf situated in the 11th district (Croisement et de St Maur dans le 11ème) next to La place verte. It’s created with support from the LeMur Association. Check […]

Streets: Mac in Hawaii, Singapore, and Vietnam

It looks like Mac, whose work in Ireland we recently posted, has been doing a lot of traveling. In short succession, he hit up Hawaii, Singapore and Vietnam, all with some site-specific imagery done with his luminous and signature expanding spirals. More images after the jump…

Streets: Saber

Renowned Los Angeles based writer SABER (interviewed) recently posted up an image of him on his blog working after hours on presumably a new mural. Of course, you will recognizable his distinct lettering style, but is that a face peeking out above? For those craving more from the graf legend, check out some pretty crazy collaborations he worked on recently with some all star lineups here and here. Discuss Saber here.

Travelogue: D*Face in Quito, Ecuador – Part 2

It seems that cans of paint are a valuable commodity in Ecuador and whilst we discard our empty cans and messed up caps without question where it is readily available, the local kids in Quito clean up the old tips and re-fill and re-pressurise the cans for a second life. We last saw D*Face (interviewed) hitting Quito with posters and paste-ups around the city whilst trying to source some precious paint during his trip to Ecuador for the ‘9no Festival de Arte en la Calle’ […]

Streets: Os Gemeos x Futura in NYC Wrap-Up

Wrapping up our coverage of a phenomenal collaboration, AM got to spend some time with Os Gemeos & Futura on their day off after the completion of this impressive mural. The seven story mural consisted of the twins working on the “britches” and Futura utilizing his “point-men” to create the crazy shirt (all in conjunction with AKANYC and 12ozProphet with support from Nike and Montana Colors). It’s nothing short of amazing that his project took less than a week to complete. Everyone was finally able […]

Streets: Meggs in Hong Kong

Just like other street artists before him (Michael De Feo and Zevs), some more successfully than others, Meggs decided to leave his mark on Hong Kong after opening his show at Above Second Gallery. He worked in some comic inspired pieces as well as repped for his Everfresh crew. More images after the jump…

Streets: Know Hope Trainwriting

It looks like Israeli street meistro Know Hope recently visited Croatia and tried his hand at the time-honored tradition of train-writing (ala Labrona & Barry McGee). Of course, he used some signature imagery as well as continued his penchant for street poetry. Another piece after the jump…

Streets: Mac in Dublin

Mac, who we recently watched painting a mural in Culver City, posted up some pics of the work he did in Dublin. Since he is part Irish, these pieces were especially meaningful to him. The one above was done for the Kings of Concrete festival and based on a detail from a painting by Gabriel Max entitled “the Raising of Jairus’ Daughter” and is in reference to the simmering conflict still in Ireland. More details of this piece done in his signature striated style as […]

Streets: Os Gemeos x Futura in NYC (Part 4)

As we continue to witness this mural collaboration go up in front of our eyes between Os Gemeos and Futura, we are just amazed by the detailed work put in by the street legends. Here we see some simultaneous tag team work as the twins put in some finishing touches and as Futura continues working in his signature pointman motif. More pics after the jump…

Streets: Os Gemeos x Futura in NYC (Part 3)

As we continue to monitor the progress of the Os Gemeos x Futura mural on 320 West 21st Street in New York, we have received a new set of pics from AM photographer, Joe Russo. As you can see, the twins are almost done with their part of the mural, namely the figurative portions and the “flag pants.”  Soon, Futura will be starting in on the shirt and his portion of the mural. More pics after the jump and stay tuned…
