Basel Week Miami ’14: Tom Fruin @ AQUA (Paul Loya Gallery)

While walking through the Aqua Art Fair (covered) during Basel Week Miami, we were delighted to come across the work of Tom Fruin at the Paul Loya Gallery booth. On display were metal works fashioned into cop cars and grids as well as a quilt made from found drug bags. Take a look at more photos below… See all our coverage of Basel […]

Showing: Soey Milk – “SINAVRO” @ Corey Helford Gallery

Currently on view at Corey Helford Gallery in Culver City is a solo show from Soey Milk entitled SINAVRO, which is a pure Korean word translated loosely to mean “to progress slowly, almost imperceptibly.” Those who have followed evolution of the young Los Angeles-based artist’s work certainly have seen a move toward richer backgrounds and more intricate detailing in her feminine portraiture. Head over before January 10th if you want to check out her new paintings and drawings as well as a few purely abstract pieces that seem […]

Basel Week Miami ’14: Pryce Lee @ Untitled. (Anonymous Gallery)

While taking in the art at the Untitled. art fair (covered) in Miami, we stopped by the booth from Mexico City’s Anonymous Gallery to check out a few works from Pryce Lee. Along with pairing an open cage with one of his “bird hitting the window” works, the artist who balances his time between New York and the UK also contributed one of his signature bullet pieces, but this time incorporating an aquarium.
