Between the 7th and 14th of February, the Kaka’ako district of Honolulu will host another, the 6th edition of the POW! WOW! festival. Supported by RVCA, Montana Cans, and Hawaiian Airlines, the Valentine’s day week has become a central part of this large project that celebrates culture, music and art. During this week, the crème de la crème of street and urban art world will be creating murals, showing artwork at gallery shows, hosting lectures, all around Honolulu.
Turning warehouses, shop windows, storage spaces, garages and other buildings around commercial district of Kaka’ako into their large canvases, this year’s impressive roster includes Etam Cru, El Mac, Maya Hayuk, Roa, Ernest Zacharevic, David Flores, Miss Van, Kevin Lyons, Olek, Aaron Horkey, Mark Dean Veca, Kelly Towles, Tristan Eaton, D*Face, Ekundayo, Prime, Woes Martin, and many more. As every year before, the AM team will be attending the event reporting from the scene and sharing all the action.
