Openings: George Condo – “Mental States” @ New Museum

On Tuesday night AM attended the private opening of Mental States at the New Museum in New York. The exhibition is the first major US survey of works by George Condo with a over 80 paintings and sculptures spanning 1982 to current day by the adventurous and imaginative artist. Openings: Mark Mothersbaugh & Shepard Fairey – “The Big Picture” @ Subliminal Projects

Last Saturday night, “The Big Picture” opened at Subliminal Projects featuring the work of DEVO frontman Mark Mothersbaugh and Shepard Fairey’s (featured). Studio Visit/Preview – Pema Rinzin

We recently had the honor of visiting the studio of Pema Rinzin as he was preparing for his solo exhibition entitled Compassion Transformed, which opens January 27 at the Joshua Liner Gallery. Rinzin is a master of traditional Tibetan Thangka painting and also founder of the New York Tibetan Art Studio, where he passes on his knowledge and skill.
