Park Life in SF will be presenting a truly collaborative show on Friday night between artists Andrew Schoultz (seen above – right), Chris Ballantyne, and Mark Mulroney. Preview: Shawn Barber – “Life Size” @ Yves Laroche Gallery

Fresh off his show in San Francisco, Shawn Barber is already set to open another show, this time in Canada. In “Life Size,” a joint show with Turf One, Barber will be gracing us with more of his tattoo “portraiture” that we have come to know and love. Openings: Todd James (REAS) – “Don’t stop get it get it” @ Colette

Veteran of the New York graffiti scene, Todd James (a.k.a. REAS), opened his first solo show in France yesterday at Colette, boutique of all that is cool in Paris. His show, “Don’t stop get it get it,” consists of some recent studies and paintings that take an irreverent look at the machinations of war. This looks to be a show that can’t be missed if you are lucky enough to be in the City of Lights. More images after the jump.

After exhibiting recently in Amsterdam in July, The Date Farmers are bringing the heat from from Coachella to the Bay for their show at Fifty24SF on September 3rd. Preview: Takashi Murakami – “Self-Portraits” @ Emmanuel Perrotin Gallery (Paris)

In a couple weeks, Takashi Murakami will be opening his solo show at Emmanuel Perrotin in Paris entitled “Takashi Murakami Paints Self Portraits.”  Murakami has been known to paint “self-portraits” in the past including his alter egos like Mr. DOB, Inochi, Mr. Pointy, Tan Tan Bo and Oval, but this time expect to see a set of self-portraits featuring the artist accompanied by his favorite characters. Preview: Sylvia Ji – “Nectar” @ StolenSpace

Recently we teased you with a shot from Sylvia Ji’s (interviewed) studio for her upcoming show “Nectar” at StolenSpace. Now, we bring you a closer look as her UK debut on September 3rd draws near. As the title of the show implies, “Nectar” focuses more on the sublime expressions of lust and love.
