Releases: “OUTSIDE THE LINES” Coloring Book @ MOCA

Last week, the MOCA in Los Angeles held a release party for OUTSIDE THE LINES: An Artists’ Coloring Book for Giant Imaginations, a publication curated by Souris Hong-Porretta (seen directly below). Many of the animators, cartoonists, fine artists, graphic artists, illustrators, musicians, outsider artists, photographers, street artists, and video game artists made it out to the event to interact with fans and sign copies. Releases: Brett Amory – “Bleeker Bob’s (9pm-10pm)” Print

Tomorrow (Friday, September 20th) at 3pm PST, Spoke Art will be be releasing a new print from Brett Amory’s (featured) entitled Bleeker Bob’s (9pm-10pm). The signed and numbered edition of 100 will be sized at 26 x 26″ and cost $100. Of note, the first 20 copies of the run ($350) will be labeled HPM and will be personally hand embellished (of which you can see Amory in action in these photos we included). Case Studyo from Belgium just released another beautiful limited edition art object. After working with artists such as Todd James, Parra, Steve Powers, HuskMitNavn, Steven Harrington, etc, their newest release is LAMP that they produced in collaboration with Ed Templeton in a limited edition of only 100 pieces. Brazilian duo Os Gemeos (featured) continued their tour to celebrate the launch of Hennessy’s newest artist VS Bottles. This time it was on the west coast and the good folks of Los Angeles had an opportunity to enjoy twins talent and their vibrant Brazilian vibe. Next Monday (September 16th), Brian Viveros (featured) will be releasing a new print Punch Drunk In Love in two different editions. The first will be a hand-embellished framed version included with a float mounted “Evilast” embroidered patch (and one loose for you to use yourself). On September 5th, Japanese artist Haroshi (featured) introduced his limited edition skateboard decks released through Japanese skateboarding company Uniful. Thug For Life in the Shibuya district of Tokyo was packed with people that were interested in this release that instantly became hit in Asia. Along with the signed and numbered decks, the artist introduced a new sculpture that was made especially for this event. LA based artist Mark Dean Veca (interviewed) recently released a new book 20 Years Works through Zero+ Publishing. Our friends at Very Nearly Almost (VNA) recently held a release party to celebrate the launch of their latest issue where Brooklyn collective Faile (featured) created a limited edition print by silkscreening their artwork on the cover.
