Streets: Nunca (Poland)

Continuing their ongoing art program, Urban Forms Gallery in Lodz, Poland recently invited in Nunca to add his mark on the city. Traveling a long way from his native Brazil, the street artist painted some tribal figures peaking through the foliage, rendered with his signature crosshatching strokes. Previews: Aaron Li-Hil – “Electric Currents and Mortal Wounds” @ White Walls

On November 8th, White Walls in San Francisco will be turning over their project space over to Aaron Li-Hill for his first solo with the gallery. Entitled Electric Currents And Mortal Wounds, the new exhibition will featurepaintings and installation by Canadian artist featuring his signature fencers in motion. Openings: WK Interact – “WK/Act 4” (Pop-Up)

WK Interact recently launched his latest publication entitled WK/Act 4. This book houses works from 1989 to the present day and spans 25 years of the French born/Brooklyn based artist’s storied career. To mark this occasion, WK worked in partnership with KLINIK for a pop up exhibition at The Garage in New York City. Setup: Project M/6 (Berlin) – Part I

Urban Nation recently kicked off the next phase of their ongoing art program with a new roster of artists curated by Jonathan LeVine Gallery. One aspect of the event features artists who create window installations in Berlin and the ones invited this time did just that. Take a look at some in progress photos as Dan Witz, Jeff Soto, Nychos, Olek and Saner created their 10′ x 10′ pieces destined for the windows of the building as well as works for the group show. Previews: Modernica Chair Group Show @ Soze Gallery

This Saturday, the 1st of November, LA’s Soze Gallery will be opening a group exhibition in collaboration with the Modernica furniture company. The company that keeps the spirit of Modernism movement alive with their products, teamed up with the West Hollywood showspace for an unique charity event. For this show, artists will create custom painted fiberglass shell chairs, made on the original Herman Miller equipment. Recap: FIAC 2014

Right on the heels of Frieze Art Fair in London comes the Foire Internationale d’Art Contemporain or FIAC. Held at Paris’ Grand Palais, the event saw 185 galleries from 26 countries present their rosters to French art fans between October 23-26. The Oakland Museum of California is currently showing Fertile Ground: Art and Community in California, which is an exhibition focused on the “histories and social forces that changed the face of art in—and beyond—the Golden State.” The show includes early influnces by Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo in San Francisco in the 1930s, all the way to the vibrant new Mission scene from the 1990s through the present, including Barry McGee, Chris Johanson, Margaret Kilgallen, and Amy Franceschini. Streets: Ericailcane & Bastardilla (Italy)

Recently in Rovereto, a city in Northern Italy, Ericailcane and Bastardilla painted two walls that both featured their artistic takes on bicycling. Working in his home county, Ericailcane created a mural with his signature illustrative style starring a bear with an alternative mode of transportation strapped to its back while the invited guest from Colombia, Bastardilla, painted a pair of riders seen from a different perspective. At the end of last month, the Library Street Collective hosted the opening of Dave Kinsey’s (featured) new show entitled Cushion of Memory.
