Kickstarter – “OBEY THE GIANT” Film

We have another great Kickstarter project for your consideration. Julian Marshall, a student at Shepard Fairey’s (featured) alma mater RISD, put together kind of an origins film for the street artist based on his time at the school. With a minimum of $30,000 needed to finish post-production, there are multiple levels of contributing with a tiered level of rewards depending on how much you give.  Check it out here. For those who missed the Simpsons last night, you might want to check out the video of the opening sequence above as acclaimed animator and cartoonist Bill Plympton was tapped to create the short. Joining other artists familiar to AM readers who have been involved in the show including Banksy, Shepard Fairey, Ron English, Kenny Scharf, Plympton used his distinctive style to put together a love affair between Homer and his couch. Book Signing: 3D Art Book Signing @ Chateau Marmont

Late last month, four members of the arts community came together at the Chateau Marmont for a special book signing event featuring 3D Art Book.
