A couple of weeks ago Pangeaseed.org wrapped up another praiseworthy project on the island of Isla Mujeres, Mexico – Sea Walls: Murals for Oceans – Mexico Expedition. For this event that took place from July 20-28, they invited a group of international artists to help raise awareness for the conservation of the ocean. Similar to what they did with POW! WOW! Rewind: April 8 – April 13

Keeping things going, we have another Rewind summary for you this week. First up is origami artist Sipho Mabona, who recently folded a life-sized elephant from a since giant sheet of paper. He and his team of nearly a dozen people worked over four weeks to create the 10 foot tall sculpture. POW WOW ’14 & 1xRUN Prints & Show

The annual POW! WOW! art retreat in Hawaii starts this weekend and 1xRUN will be on site to work on a special show at Loft in Space / Fresh Cafe set to open on February 14th. They have also partnered with Pangea Seed, a local non profit, to exhibit prints from their archives and their new Sametan figure customized by over 30 artists.
