Benefits: MS Fundraiser for Tim Strazza @ Joshua Liner Gallery

This Thursday, a very special art fundraiser will be held at Joshua Liner Gallery for our friend Tim Strazza who was unfortunately diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. We are helping to sponsor a benefit event where all proceeds will go to his medical bills. Absolut Blank

Jeremy Fish (featured), who just had a solo show in New York (covered), was also recently one of the artists involved with the Abolut Blank project. The vodka brand from Sweden has long been associated with artist collaborations, some of which we have feature before (Asbestos, Steve “ESPO” Powers, Chiho Aoshima) here on AM. Showing: “Hall of Fame (Part 3)” @ David Bloch Gallery (Morocco)

Currently showing in Morocco at the David Bloch Gallery is their summer group show, apparently part 3 of their Hall of Fame series. Interviews: Neck Face @ Levi’s Workshop (MOCA)

Last Sunday, AM dropped by the Levi’s Film Workshop, where they were screening the trailer for Born Under a Bad Sign, a film in progress by artist Neck Face and director Isaiah Seret. The upcoming feature-length kung fu horror movie, starring the artist was filmed in his alleyway installation at MOCA’s Art in the Streets exhibition. Openings: “Garfield” Group Show @ The Hundreds (Pop-Up Space)

Last Thursday night, The Hundreds hosted their Garfield themed art show and celebration at a pop-up location in Santa Monica. Along with the art, there were costumed characters, a signing by Garfield creator Jim Davis, and of course, the feline’s favorite food – lasagna! Hate it or love it, it was certainly interesting to see some unexpected artists in the lineup get out of their comfort zone for some themed pieces for once.
