Galerie Wolfsen in Denmark recently introduced a new body of work by Hendrik Beikirch, presented next to black and white still lifes and vanitas-like compositions by Hedley Roberts. The new body of work from he German artist is entitled Warriors, portraying people involved in conflicts, whatever the word ‘conflict’ might imply. ON THE MOVE, a new group show opened tonight at KIRK Gallery in Denmark featuring the work of Fintan Mcgee, Joram Roukes, Robert Proch, Christian Verginer, Telmo Miel (seen above), Wiley Wallace, James Bullough, Ratur & Sckaro and Wes21. The gallery in Aalborg is responsible for the Out in the Open project that has brought many muralists to the area including some who are included in this exhibition. Invited in by Galleri KIRK for their Out in the Open project, Wes21 x ONUR painted a massive mural in Aalborg, Denmark entitled Big Catch. The two Swiss artists have been collaborating on murals for a while now and this surreal piece that turns the prey and predator narrative around certainly shows how well their skills mesh together. Look for artists Conor Harrington, Faith47, Robert Proch & Sepe, Guido van Helten, Aryz, and the Etam Crew to make their mark before the event is over…

On April 11th, Galerie Wolfsen in Aalborg will be opening a solo show from Dan Quintana entitled Spectres in Grey. Judging from the few preview images show here, fans in Denmark will be in for a treat as the Los Angeles-based artist has created some beautifully rendered portraits steeped in the surreal.
