Streets: Pangeaseed – “Sea Walls: Murals for Oceans” (New Zealand) – Part II

After a look at some of the artists at work on their pieces for the Sea Walls: Murals for Oceans project sponsored by the PangeaSeed Foundation, here is a look at some select walls they painted. The muralists were invited in by the non-profit in Napier, New Zealand to create works to raise awareness for ocean environmental issues. Recap: Forest For The Trees (Portland) – Part I

With most of the Forest For The Trees murals finished, now’s the time to do the first part of our recap of this year’s event (also see 2013, 2014). The name of the mural festival comes from the phrase “they can’t see the forest for the trees” which signifies the inability to understand the greater picture when you’re too focused solely on what’s in front of you. Streets: Sea Walls: Murals for Oceans – Mexico Expedition

A couple of weeks ago Pangeaseed.org wrapped up another praiseworthy project on the island of Isla Mujeres, Mexico – Sea Walls: Murals for Oceans – Mexico Expedition. For this event that took place from July 20-28, they invited a group of international artists to help raise awareness for the conservation of the ocean.  Similar to what they did with POW! WOW! Hawaii earlier this year (covered), 1xRun.com released a series of limited edition prints along with this event, with 100% of the proceeds going towards funding the programme.
