Releases: Annie Owens x Pressure Printing – “Yee Naaldlooshi (Skinwalker)” Print

Our friends over at Pressure Printing have just released a new print from Annie Owens entitled Yee Naaldlooshi (Skinwalker). Produced in a run of 40 and based on a watercolor from Owens, the limited edition is sized at 18 ¼” × 14″ and costs $250. Openings: “Something Wicked This Way Comes” @ Cella Gallery

Last weekend, Cella Gallery and curator Stephanie Chefas hosted the opening reception for Something Wicked This Way Comes. The group exhibition featured the works of Annie Owens, Christian Rex van Minnen, Christine Wu, Chrystal Chan, David Ball, Fulvio Di Piazza, Jana Brike, Jessica Ward, Judith Supine, and Michael Page  – produced with the encouragement for them to delve into the more dark and ominous parts of their imagination. Preview: “Lush Life Four” @ Roq La Rue

Tomorrow night at Roq La Rue, the fourth rendition of their Lush Life group show will open with a diverse mix of artists including Camille Rose Garcia, Chris Berens (above), Madeline Von Foerster, Travis Louie, Glenn Barr, Ti Kunkit, Seamus Conley, Annie Owens, Sam Wolfe Connolley, Laurie Lee Brom, Lindsey Carr, Jessica Joslin, Michael Alm, Handiedan, Peter Ferguson, Zoe Williams, and Eric Fortune (seen directly below). Preview: Annie Owens – “Motherland” @ Copro Gallery

This Saturday night, the Copro Gallery will be hosting a new solo exhibition from Annie Owens, artist and co-founder of Hi-Fructose. Motherland includes watercolor works on paper as well as studies referencing Owen’s recent interest in her family tree with paintings of mysterious houses and characters. The exhibition runs through July 7th at the Bergamot Complex in Santa Monica.

Preview: “Overdose” Hi-Fructose Group Show @ Copro Gallery

After their highly successful group show last year, Hi-Fructose is back again with another exhibition, this time titled “Overdose,” opening April 4th at Copro Gallery.  With a increasingly more respected reputation as one of the best publications in the scene, they been able to assemble a pretty amazing lineup.  Sure to be one of the showstoppers is this huge 50 x 50 inch Chris Berens piece seen above.  See some other preview pics as well as the full lineup after the jump.
