Releases: ROA – “SK8room Skatedecks”

Belgium-based ROA, who recently had a solo showing in his home country (covered), has also been working on a project with SK8room. The set of three decks (Decay 1, 2, & 3) featuring the street artist’s anatomical style are the result of  a trip to Cambodia, to meet the guys from Skateistan (20% of sales go to them) in Phnom Penh, a not-for-profit organization that teaches empowerment through skateboarding to children in impoverished countries. Releases: Todd James – “Opening Ceremony x Spring Breakers” Collection

For fans of the American cult director Harmony Korine’s movie Spring Breakers, you may be interested to know that Opening Ceremony has released collection of apparel based on the new film. Tim Biskup for Coachella Boutique

Every year at Coachella, besides an incredible lineup of music, there are also inevitably some side projects or shows that involve artists that you have seen her on AM. JR x Bagua Footwear

Perhaps inspired by the shoes Os Gemeos were wearing for their opening in Los Angeles last year, friend and fellow street artist JR has produced some of his own footwear. Shoemakers Bagua recently teamed with the French photographer to create a pair of shoes based on his iconic eye as you can see above. Releases: Geoff McFetridge x Bushmills Irish Whiskey Decanter

With Saint Patrick’s Day coming up, Geoff McFetridge teamed up with Bushmills to create a whiskey decanter inspired by the original shape of a Bushmills Irish Whiskey bottle. Produced in an edition of 75 and hand blown by the internationally-acclaimed design firm Esque Studio, the special design is for Burshmills’ Since Way Back program – “an initiative dedicated to celebrating groups of friends whose shared experiences and influences are now shaping pop culture.” You can pick on up for $600 here or enter a contest […]

Starting from the first inklings of the project back in October, Louis Vuitton seemed to be tapping into the the street art game to further their long line of artist collaborations. After their the initial foray in this direction, the iconic fashion house’s project has expanded to include three artists so far – Aiko, Os Gemeos, and RETNA. Openings: Geoff McFetridge – “My Head Disappears When My Hands Are Thinking” @ Playmountain

Currently in Japan, Geoff McFetridge has renewed his collaboration with Heath Ceramics for a show at Playmountain. My Head Disappears When My Hands Are Thinking not only features the Los Angeles-based artist’s minimalistic paintings, but also his specially designed ceramic items (also seen 2011 in LA). Takashi Murakami x Hajime Asaoka Watch

Takashi Murakami, whose enormous studio you recently got a glimpse of, has announced a new watch he designed with independent Japanese watchmaker Hajime Asaoka. Entitled Death Takes No Bribe, the timepiece features some of Murakami’s signature flower and skull motifs.
