This beautiful limited edition artwork features Nara’s signature white dog (seen here), with the help of a specially placed “belly speaker” created by YAMAHA Lab, this lonesome puppy acts as a functional sound system. After sharing one public arts project in New York from Yayoi Kusama with you earlier this week (here), we now turn our attention to the collaboration with Louis Vuitton on a fashion line entitled Infinitely Kusama. The artist’s renowned spots and vegetation tentacles currently adorn LV’s flagship store on the corner of 5th Ave. Similar to Takashi Murakami, whose Multicolore motif wrapped the retail space in 2008, Yayoi’s circles adorn the the exterior as well as the interior window installation. If you look closer, you may see a startling life like replica of the […]
Described as “a love triangle for the ages, confounding flesh and reason, for all eternity,” James Jean’s (featured) new limited edition offering is printed on silk. The nine color silkscreen print is 36 x 36″, produced in a run of 100, and comes with signed and embossed certificate of authenticity. Our astute readers will notice that the imagery for this new scarf comes from one of the pieces, Duelist, displayed at our City Of Fire exhibition in Beverly Hills. Purchase it here. Unlike many in the current trend of street art, he isn’t a novel flash in the pan – Leonard Hilton McGurr (aka. Futura) has always been relevant. Our friends at Complex put together a comprehensive write up on the […]

Last night, Hennessy held the Los Angeles premiere (see NY launch here) of the VS cognac bottle designed by Futura at an exclusive launch party held at the Milk Studios in Hollywood. The special bottle is a continuation of the brand’s collaboration with high profile artists (see KAWS) and it seemed that no expense was spared with Diplo and Santigold on hand to entertain the crowd. Of particular interest to fans of the graffiti legend though were various originals on display as well as a live painting session. Also on hand […]
