Tonight in Portland, Antler Gallery will be opening a group show to benefit the National Audubon Society. As a followup to his small show earlier this year (covered) at Thinkspace Gallery, Brian Mashburn will be taking over the project room with a more extensive body of work starting this Saturday, July 18th. Witness will see more exotic creatures join the North Carolina-based artist’s distinctive visual world where animals are posed in the foreground against the hazy background of industrial degradation. Opening this Saturday, April 25th, will be a small show from Brian Mashburn at Thinkspace Gallery in Los Angeles. Entitled Contenders, the new body of work will consist of six 6″ x 6″ paintings centered thematically on roosters.
