Preview: Invader – “Derives” @ Alice Gallery

Back in March, we shared photos with you of some new Invader work in Brussels including some pieces with references to the famous peeing statue that is a symbol for the city. It looks like Belgium will also be getting a solo show from the Parisian artist at Alice Gallery with the opening scheduled for tonight. Look for his famous tiles, Rubik’s Cube pieces, installations, as well as a map of his invasion of the city. More preview images after the jump…

Streets: Invader (Belgium)

We haven’t heard much from Monsieur Invader since he served up space waffles at a showing in London (covered) back in December. It seem though that the street tile specialist has been busy putting in work in Brussels recently plastering the walls with his pieces. As usual, he put a little local flavor into this invasion with references to the famous peeing statue that is a symbol for the city as well as some use of the Belgium colors. Openings: Boris Tellegen (DELTA) – “ABUNDANCE” @ Alice Gallery

Just the other night, the Alice Gallery in Brussels played host to a new body of work from Boris Tellegen aka Delta. The Amsterdam-based abstract graffiti specialist has been hitting up various parts of Europe recently with his art projects and shows including large-scale sculptural pieces in March at the Muziekgebouw Concert Hall in his home-city (covered) and then Basel, Switzerland for a showing at the kunstraum.ch artspace (covered) in July.
