Earlier this month, the Juxtapoz x Superflat group show opened at Pivot Art, giving art enthusiasts in Seattle a chance to see work from a stellar roster of artists. Upcoming: Chiho Aoshima – “Rebirth Of The World” @ Seattle Art Museum

Tomorrow (May 2nd) at the Seattle Art Museum, Rebirth Of The World, a solo show from Chiho Aoshima, will open to a public. The Takashi Murakami protégé from his Kaikai Kiki Collective is known for her fantasy worlds of ghosts, zombies, and teenage girls, oftentimes created with a digital technique. For this exhibition, the Japanese artist has prepared colorful large-scale dreamscapes printed on plexiglass, 35 drawings on paper, and an animation that will be shown in public for the first time. Our friends at the art collectors have posted some info and images of an interesting collaboration between Absolut Vodka and two of our favorite artists, Steve Powers (featured) and Chiho Aoshima. Each artist has designed two drink pitchers to accompany bottles of the Swedish beverage, released in different sizes depending on country.
