“Jumbo Fruit” from the Clayton Brothers opened last week at Patrick Painter to a large and appreciative crowd that included several of LA’s art elite. This was their first major collection of works in Los Angeles since they rocked La Luz De Jesus back in 2003 with their epic “Six Foot Eleven” show. AM just got back from a lil’ visit to the Patrick Painter galleries in Santa Monica to take in the work of the Clayton Brothers (studio visit). The new shows look amazing. The larger works were being photographed when we popped through, so we offer up a nice lil’ view of the other gallery which showcases the smaller works. The larger works are just breathtaking. AM had a chance to visit the studio of the Clayton Brothers a couple weeks back as they prepared for their first major show in Los Angeles in six years.
