As part of the $620 million “Dust to Gold” renovation at the Palms Casino Resort, an impressive collection ranging from blue-chip works to street art murals was acquired, commissioned, and deployed throughout the hotel. Following The Collaborations show(covered), New York graffiti legends Crash (featured), Bio (Tats Cru) have teamed up with British Vandal Nick Walker (interviewed) for a new print release called Sea of Love to be released on November 14th on here for $400. The edition is sized at 21.5 x 21.5 inches and comes signed an numbered (70 + 15 AP’s + 1HC). Discuss Nick Walker here.

It’s always interesting to take a peek into the home of one of your favorite artists (also see the Rydens and Shepard Fairey), especially if they are collectors themselves. As part of the continuing L.I.S.A Project in New York City’s Little Italy, Crash and Daze were recently invited to collaborate on a wall on Mulberry Street. For the two legendary NY writers, the mural was a natural extension of their friendship and professional lives as they share a studio together and were one of the first to make the jump from the streets to the gallery back in the 80’s. Openings: CRASH – “Broken English” @ Jonathan LeVine Gallery

One of the summer exhibitions that we checked out recently was by Bronx-based graffiti artist Crash, a.k.a. John Matos (featured) at Jonathan LeVine Gallery. Entitled Broken English this freshly minted body of work spanned traditional mediums such as canvas and paper, but also highlights Crash’s dexterity as a graffiti master as he worked his painterly street magic to redo a Mini Cooper in his signature style & visual language. The Wooster Collective recently celebrated their 10th anniversary of existence with a massive show at New York’s Jonathan LeVine Gallery.
