Felipe Pantone – “INTR3PID” Carbon Cub Airplane

Felipe Pantone recently unveiled the INTR3PID, an adventure aircraft he wrapped with his signature use of colors gradients, geometrical patterns and Op Art elements. The Carbon Cub lightweight airplane is manufactured by Washington-based Cub Crafters, the design of which has been in the works for over a year from the Spanish artist. Releases: Jen Stark x Las Jaras Wines

For those who like to collect their own stash of bottles featuring the artwork of their favorite artists, Jen Stark has just released a design she collaborated with Las Jaras Wines on. Emblazoned on the side of the Napa Valley vineyard’s 2016 Pétillant Naturel Sparkling Rosé is one of the artist’s signature psychedelic patterns on a holographic label. Fashion: James Jean x Prada 2018 Resort Collection

Following up on his work with Prada in 2008 and other projects through the years, James Jean (interviewed) has collaborated with the Italian fashion house on part of their 2018 resort collection. Staged for the first time at the Fondazione Prada Osservatorio in Milan, the runway show featured the illustrator and visual artist’s imagery prominently on parkas, a pantsuit, dresses as well as many of the handbags. Benefits: Faile x Keihls – “Baby Give Back” Collection

For this holiday season, Faile (featured) has teamed up with Kiehls to release a collection of skin care products to benefit Feeding America. The Patrick’s worked with the American cosmetics brand retailer, gifting their design skills and artwork on a range of products, with each one labeled conveniently as to how many meals you are helping provide to families in need. KAWS Designs Trophy For SpongeBob SquarePants 400 Nascar Race

Continuing to raise his profile and to familiarize the general public with his signature imagery, KAWS has teamed up with NASCAR to design the trophy for the SpongeBob SquarePants 400 coming up at the Kansas Speedway on May 9th (although it might be delayed due to the weather). James Jean – “Psychic Temple” Library Project (Part II)

After introducing you last month to the Psychic Temple project from James Jean (interviewed), we now have an update with some on site photos for you to enjoy. A collaboration between the nomadic Jean and architect Brandon Shigeta, the intriguing undertaking is commissioned by interTrend in Long Beach for their new library. It looks like the fabrication is finally underway for the Psychic Temple project for interTrend in Long Beach, a collaboration between artist James Jean (interviewed) and architect Brandon Shigeta. Showing: “This Is Not A Toy” @ Design Exchange

Currently showing at the Design Exchange in Toronto is a show curated by Pharrell Williams entitled This Is Not A Toy. An avid collector himself, the American singer, songwriter, and producer has lent his expertise to the exhibition dedicated to the rise of the “art toy.” As referenced in the title of the show, the Canadian museum seeks to examine the fine line between art and design object. Release: Dalek x The Hurley Printing Press

Last month in Huntington Beach, Hurley and the legendary Craig Stecyk III brought together a group of artists to create limited edition designs and screen prints on an etching press.
