Basel Week Miami ’16: Juxtapoz Clubhouse

One of the venues jam-packed with goodness during Basel Week Miami was the Juxtapoz Clubhouse, a special project in conjunction between the magazine and Mana Urban Arts Project. The immersive artist retreat and exhibition space in the Wynwood District features collaborations with different artists, galleries and creatives. With Basel Week Miami fast approaching, it’s time to start turning our attention towards giving you a preview of the festivities for this year. Upcoming: Eloy Morales – “About Head” @ Jonathan LeVine Gallery

On May 16th, the 529 West 20th Street location of Jonathan LeVine Gallery will be hosting a set of new works from Eloy Morales collectively entitled About Head. The Madrid-based artist’s raw hyper-realistic portraiture is a sight to behold, but even more so in person when the scale is fully appreciated. Upcoming: “Based on Actual Events” @ Jonathan LeVine Gallery

Two artists that we have had our eyes on for a while that were featured in some of our previous Art Focus articles, Eloy Morales (focus) & Joel Rea (focus) will be part of a group show this weekend at Jonathan LeVine Gallery. Based on Actual Events also includes Alyssa Monks and Diego Koi, with all four artists showing particular skill with hyper-realism. If Morales’ work above piques your interest, plan to attend the opening on Saturday night, January 11th.
