Coming up next month (May 10th), Mesa Contemporary Art Museum will be opening Petrichor, a mid career retrospective dedicated to the dark and surreal vision of Esao Andrews. Featuring 20 iconic paintings contributed by collectors around the world, the showing from the Mesa, Arizona native will also include never seen before pieces, 70 skatedecks he has designed in the past, as well as a site specific mural. On July 7th, Spoke Art’s New York location will be hosting the Suggestivism: Resonance 2018 group exhibition. The long running series of shows are the brainchild of artist Nathan Spoor, who is curating the roster as well as contributing a piece to the show. Over the weekend, the Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum in Arizona hosted the opening of Flourish, a group show curated by Thinkspace Gallery. Over 100 artists contributed to the exhibition but the standouts for us were the murals from Esao Andrews and Nosego as well as a sweet hanging installation from Felipe Pantone. After a closer look at a mural El Mac recently painted in Phnom Penh, here are now some photos and video of the Igloo Hong Project where other artists including Aryz, Esao Andrews, James Jean joined David Choe as they spread their artistic talents in Cambodia.
