With Basel Week Switzerland coming to an end, here is a look at the Thinkspace Gallery booth at the SCOPE art fair. The showing focused on the works Audrey Kawasaki (interviewed) and Esao Andrews with both artists continuing to show progression in their aesthetic. Kawasaki’s new paintings this time were solely created on dark backgrounds, something that not commonly seen in high numbers in one body of work, which contrasted nicely with her choice of vibrant colors to complement her seductive muses. Coming up in June, Thinkspace Gallery will be featuring the work of two artists at the SCOPE Art Fair during Basel Week Switzerland. This Friday night (November 16th) in Hong Kong, the Above Second Gallery will be opening their LAX / HKG group exhibition (curated by Thinkspace). Featuring a strong lineup of Amy Sol (above), Audrey Kawasaki, Brian M. Viveros, Dabs Myla, Esao Andrews, Joao Ruas, Linnea Strid, and Yosuke Ueno, the showing will sure to be well received by local fans. Releases: Esao Andrews – “Joyride To Nettle’s Summit” Print

Fans of Esao Andrews surreal imagery have about three hours left to purchase his Joyride To Nettle’s Summit print if they are interested in adding it to their collection. Andrews’ first timed-release edition is 16″ x 20″, costs $85, comes signed, and if you remember, is based on a painting he submitted for the Death and the Maiden group show in June.
