Last night, James Jean (interviewed) premiered his latest body of work at New York’s Tilton Gallery. Entitled Parallel Lives, this amazing collection of works demonstrated the full spectrum of talent and techniques that makes James one of the hottest artists over the past decade. After a four year long wait, the LA-based James Jean (interviewed) makes his return to New York City with a solo at the Tilton Gallery. One of the most anticipated shows leading off 2013 will be James Jean’s (interviewed) move to New York City for his newest solo show at Tilton Gallery. Entitled Parallel Lives, the exhibition will be his second large body of work put on display in the Big Apple since 2009 (covered). The show runs from January 9th to February 16th. Last month, we shared with you the collaboration between James Jean (featured) and the BLITZ Lane Crawford Hong Kong. Not only was he launching his OVM line of jewellery and accessories there, there were also a special collection of scarves, pouches and iphone veils has been designed by the gifted painter exclusively for the store (buy them here). It looks like James Jean (featured) is back in Hong Kong where he will be launching his OVM line of jewellery and accessories in store at BLITZ Lane Crawford. Described as “a love triangle for the ages, confounding flesh and reason, for all eternity,” James Jean’s (featured) new limited edition offering is printed on silk. The nine color silkscreen print is 36 x 36″, produced in a run of 100, and comes with signed and embossed certificate of authenticity. Our astute readers will notice that the imagery for this new scarf comes from one of the pieces, Duelist, displayed at our City Of Fire exhibition in Beverly Hills. Purchase it here. Having a good friend like James Jean (featured) certainly came in handy for one lucky couple as the LA-based artist was asked to design special wedding invitations for them. It looks to be fabricated in a similar fashion to the stunning wood piece he created for our City Of Fire show based on the union of two animals from the Chinese Zodiac – the ox and snake.
