Openings: “Made In Polaroid” @ Phillips de Pury

AM recently attended the star studded charity art show Made In Polaroid held at Phillips de Pury. The benefit was a one night auction that featured 50 works created by the 50-50-50 project using Polaroid’s mobile printer. All proceeds went to support Free Arts NYC. Preview: Krista Huot – “Nepenthe” @ Gallery 1988 (SF)

This Saturday night, January 9th, Krista Huot (interviewed) returns to Gallery 1988 in San Francisco with a new body of work. The solo show, entitled “Nepenthe” or translated as “drug of forgetfulness” mentioned in ancient Greek mythology appears to be loosely based on various fairytales such as Snow White, Alice In Wonderland, Rapunzel, Cinderella among others. Krista is also planning on painting the walls of the gallery to look like a storybook forest so we are looking forward to seeing how it all turns out. […]

“Quiet Storm” opened this past Tuesday in Los Angeles at Gallery 1988. The four person show features new work from Krista Huot (Interviewed), Scott Campbell, ghost patrol and Roland Tamayo.
