Following up on some of the walls in-progress that we showed you last week for the Women on the Walls in Miami for Art Basel Week, we now have photos of some of the completed murals and work. The surrounding area and the Wynwood Walls compound were beautified by visiting artists including Aiko, Miss Van, Fafi, Maya Hayuk, Lady Pink, Faith47, Kashink, Lakwena, Sheryo and Olek (seen above). For those street art fans down in Miami for Art Basel Week, you may want to head over to the Wynwood district for the new outdoor mural project. Women on the Walls features work by Aiko (seen above), Miss Van, Fafi, Maya Hayuk, Lady Pink, and Olek in the Wynwood Walls compound. Also included are Faith47, Kashink, Lakwena, and Sheryo who will be painting new walls in the adjacent area. Openings: “Willoughby Windows” presented by Ad Hoc Art

Bringing life to a row of twelve empty storefronts in New York, the “Willoughby Windows” (previewed) community beautification project presented by Ad Hoc Art in conjunction with the MetroTech Business Improvement District, was a success by all accounts. The storefronts, located at 89 to 106 Willoughby Street in Brooklyn, included participation from artists Chris Stain, Ellis G. (interviewed), Gaia, Logan Hicks (interviewed), Dennis McNett, Michael De Feo, Josh MacPhee and more. Preview/Setup: “Willoughby Windows” presented by Ad Hoc Art

Twelve different storefronts from 89 to 106 Willoughby Street in Brooklyn are being transformed by over fifteen artists as part of the “Willoughby Windows” project. Presented by Ad Hoc Art in conjunction with the MetroTech Business Improvement District, the exhibition showcases the beautification project in place to bring life to the twelve empty storefronts on this block.
