Rime Sues Moschino & Jeremy Scott Over Katy Perry’s Met Gala Dress

Like Maya Hayuk earlier this year, Joseph Tierney aka Rime has also filed suit for copyright infringement. The Brooklyn-based graffiti artist alleges that Moschino and its designer Jeremy Scott imitated a graffiti tag that he painted on a Detroit building for Katy Perry’s Met Gala dress. Not only did they allegedly take the VandalsEYES imagery and his signature without his permission but they also added the Moschino and Jeremy Scott brand names in a spray-paint style as if part of the original work. Shepard Fairey Arrested In Los Angeles

News broke yesterday that Shepard Fairey (featured) was arrested in Los Angeles as he returned from Europe where he just opened an exhibition at the CAC Malaga (more on this later). He was charged with a felony after he allegedly vandalized Detroit properties while in town for his showing at the Library Street Collective (covered).
