Amy Sol Studio Sale 2014

On September 6th at 2pm PST, Amy Sol (interviewed) will be holding a small studio sale, something she does from time to time. Included are originals like paint studies and small drawings, which she has been posting on her Instagram leading up to the sale tagged with #amysol_studiosale. Releases: Josh Keyes x Tiny Showcase – “Sleeping Woods” Print

Earlier today, Josh Keyes (interviewed) released a new print through Tiny Showcase continuing their long collaborative history together (2014, 2013, 2012, 2010). Entitled Sleeping Woods, the new edition has an image area of 14″ x 8.4″ and total size of 15″ x 9.5″ including the border. The run size will be determined by orders through Thursday, August 28 at 12pm Eastern Time with $15 of each $50 sale going to benefit Creative Growth. Releases: Sylvia Ji – “Marigold Catrina” Print

Tomorrow, August 26th, at 12pm PST, 827 Ink will be releasing a new print from Sylvia Ji (interviewed). Entitled Marigold Catrina, the edition will be limited to a run of 150, with the image size at 18″ x 18″ (paper size 20″ x 20″), and will come signed and numbered of course. Previews: Heiko Müller – “Glades” @ Feinkunst Krüger

On September 6th, Feinkunst Krüger will be opening an exhibition from Heiko Müller, his first solo with the Hamburg gallery since he started showing with them in 2003. Glades will feature the German artist’s nature-infused paintings, a byproduct his inspiration for art always originating from his times spent in the mountains and forests. Of course, there is a surreal aspect to his work as well, sourced from the times where he experiences uncanny or eerie feelings in the outdoors – like jogging through the woods at dusk. […]

Previews: Yoskay Yamamoto – “rainy day with a chance of sun” @ Hellion Gallery

On October 2nd, the Hellion Gallery in Portland will be presenting new works from Yoskay Yamamoto (interviewed) tentatively entitled rainy day with a chance of sun. Like his recent showing in Los Angeles (covered), the new whimsical body of work will consist of paintings, clusters of smaller works, and his hand-crafted wooden sculptures.
