We haven’t seen an exhibition in person from Nathan Spoor in a while (although we did enjoy his curation of the Suggestivism show), so we headed over to the Bold Hype Gallery in New York a couple weeks ago to check out his new body of work – Phantom Passport. With a show filled with such plethora of strong and iconic works from an A-list of artists, Suggestivism definitely deserves a second look. If our coverage of the opening didn’t encourage you to see the exhibition in person, perhaps this video from Hurley featuring some footage of the art as well as an interview with curator and artist Nathan Spoor will convince you to head over to the Grand Central Art Center before April 17th, the close date. AM dropped by Copro Gallery this past Saturday night to be at the openings of our friends Joe Ledbetter (above) and Nathan Spoor (below).Â Ledbetter’s “Death & Taxes” show opening drew an impressive crowd. “Overdose” (previewed) opened this past Saturday at Copro Gallery in Santa Monica. Upon entering the gallery, you will notice several great pieces from “Overdose” on display in the gallery’s front room. After their highly successful group show last year, Hi-Fructose is back again with another exhibition, this time titled “Overdose,” opening April 4th at Copro Gallery.Â With a increasingly more respected reputation as one of the best publications in the scene, they been able to assemble a pretty amazing lineup.Â Sure to be one of the showstoppers is this huge 50 x 50 inch Chris Berens piece seen above.Â See some other preview pics as well as the full lineup after the jump.

“Natural Beauties” and “Superschool” (previewed) opened at Copro Gallery this past Saturday, March 7th. Upon entering Copro Gallery, you will see Lola’s solo show “Natural Beauties” on display in the room directly ahead. A couple interesting shows are opening this weekend at Copro Gallery (formerly Copro Nason Gallery) at the Bergamot Station complex in Santa Monica. The first is “Natural Beauties,” a solo show from Lola after her recent successful showing at Corey Helford Gallery.
