Upcoming: Jeff Soto – “The Sotofish Society” @ Jonathan LeVine Gallery

On September 10th, Jeff Soto (interviewed) will be returning to Jonathan LeVine Gallery in New York for another solo show. Entitled The Sotofish Society, the exhibition will see the Southern California-based artist re-exploring some of the past elements of his work including yetis, reapers, robots, landscapes, antlers, geometric shapes, and of course the iconic Sotofish! Showing: Dabs Myla Viacom Times Square Installation

Recently in the Viacom building (1515 Broadway) at New York’s Times Square, Dabs Myla created a new installation open to the public featuring sculpture, painting, wallpaper, and hand crafted objects and furniture from Modernica. Streets: Barbara Kruger // High Line (New York)

Joining the plethora of artists that have had art visible from the High Line in New York, Barbara Kruger unveiled a mural she designed earlier this year (and on view through March 2017). On July 1st, Brilliant Champion in Brooklyn will be presenting a collection of new tapestries from Erin M. Riley (interviewed), including some of her largest to date (up to as large as 8 x 8 feet). Tom Sachs’ current exhibition (through July 24) is unprecedented in the 30 year history of the Noguchi Museum in that he is the first artist to be awarded a solo at the institution other than the original founder. Currently on view at Joseph Gross Gallery in Chelsea, NY is Refuge, a solo exhibition featuring thirteen works by Peter Gronquist. The show includes all-new pieces that combine creative uses of material, such as LED lights, shaped frames, and silk flowers, with traditional painting techniques. On June 25th, a solo show from Andy Kehoe will open at New York’s Jonathan LeVine Gallery. The new body of work from the Pittsburgh-based artist entitled Fantastical Romanticism has been in-progress for at least a year now so we are anxious to see what new ideas he has been working on. Upcoming: Nychos – “Ikon” @ Jonathan LeVine Gallery

Coming up on June 25th, a new solo from Austrian artist Nychos will be opening at the Jonathan LeVine Gallery. Mirroring his works on the street, Ikon will features a series of paintings with his recognizable cartoonish dissected imagery.
