The second edition of POW! WOW! Long Beach is underway with artists painting in the streets as well as inside the Long Beach Museum of Art for the upcoming Vitality & Verve: In The Third Dimension show (covered). The time had come for another Streets World Roundup here on AM. Leading things off is a complex new work of art from Felice Varini in Hasselt, Belgium for the “De Unie Hasselt-Genk” exhibition. The spiral-like piece which plays with perspective was painted on the roofs and facades of 99 buildings and can only be properly seen from one vantage point. Take a look at more here. Over looking the Seine, La Tour Paris 13 is a project curated by Mehdi Ben Cheikh from Galerie Itinerrance. During a year, the entire building was painted by 100 international street and graffiti artists, each leaving their mark with murals and installations within the 36 apartments over 9 floors and cellars. Opening to the public for a month from October 1st, the building is due to be demolished in November, making it the largest temporary street art exhibition in France.
