Preview: “Dream No Small Dreams” @ Ronchini

A pretty special show is opening up on September 6th at the Ronchini Gallery in London entitled Dream No Small Dreams. Featuring the work of three artists, Patrick Jacobs (seen above), Thomas Doyle, and Adrien Broom, whose specialties are in the small details of the miniature world, the show promises to be something that must be seen in person if you are in the area. Streets: JR – Inside Out/11M (Los Angeles)

After tipping you off last week to the fact that JR’s (interviewed) photobooth truck was in Los Angeles, we headed by for a look ourselves. The mobile photo units have been traveling the US (and the world) of late, spreading the French photographer and street artist’s Inside Out love. Showing through the end of the month at M+B in Los Angeles is the Tim Barber curated Apparatus group exhibition. The New York – based photographer brought together an eclectic mix of artworks which all depict the human form in some way. Daido Moriyama @ PRISM (Los Angeles)

Over the weekend, AM had the opportunity to check out the Daido Moriyama exhibition that just closed at PRISM in Los Angeles. The collection of photographs from the renowned Japanese photographer are examples of his typical black and white images that have been lauded as being influential in how the world viewed the cultural transition of life in Japan after World War II. JR Phototruck In Los Angeles

Since last year when we first learned of JR’s (interviewed) photobooth truck in Japan, the mobile unit has made its way to many different locales (including New York’s Time Square) spreading his Inside Out love. The truck has now traveled to Los Angeles and is currently located at 7600 Beverly Blvd until 7 pm tonight if you want to get your photo taken and participate.
