Releases: PichiAvo – “Hybrid Psyche” Edition

Today through APPortfolio, PichiAv has released a new sculptural edition entitled Hybrid Psyche. The series of 250 pieces featuring the Spanish duo’s signature Urban Mythology style that mixes their depiction of greco-roman marble figures with graffiti. The three-diminional representation of the pair’s work were all lined up on a wall over which they sprayed a mural with their signature palette. Sized at 8 x 17 x 15.4cm, the edition can be yours for $548 here. Discuss PichiAvo here.

Upcoming: Festival Iminente 2018, London

After a successful third edition in Lisbon back in September, Festival Iminente will be coming back to London’s Old Truman Brewery for the second time between the 19th and 21st of October. Following up on The New Vanguard show back in 2016 (covered), the Lancaster Museum of Art and History (MOAH), again in collaboration with Los Angeles’ Thinkspace Gallery, will be opening the second iteration of the group exhibition on October 20th. While in town completing a stunning new mural on the streets of Lisbon (covered), PichiAvo also had a show open at Underdogs Gallery. Entitled Versus, the new exhibition from the Spanish duo features paintings, drawings, and sculptures that form a cohesive body of work showcasing their signature combination of classical art and elements of graffiti culture. Streets: PichiAvo (Lisbon)

While in town for their current solo show at Underdogs Gallery (more on this later), PichiAvo completed a stunning new mural near the Santa Apolónia railway station utilizing their signature palette. Soaring high into the urban landscape, the multi-story mural from the Spanish duo features their signature remix of ancient Greek and Roman sculptures with their love for graffiti.
