Remember that episode of The Simpsons where Shepard Fairey, Ron English, Kenny Scharf, and Robbie Conal made an appearance and Bart taps into the street art craze with imagery inspired by Homer. Well, the Dope stencil that Bart was seen putting up all over town is now available as a poster from Shep as an open edition through Urban Outfitters. Continuing their line of desirable prints, 1xRun has announced their next release – Ryan McCann’s Death To Koons image. The provocative portrayal of the contemporary art giant being dunked into one of his famous basketball tanks comes from McCann’s “Death To…” series (you may remember a previous painting poking fun at Banksy). This Sunday, August 19th, the Epic Lounge in Downey, California will be hosting a screening of Bumblebeelovesyou by Handi. As the title suggests, the short documentary is about local street artist Bumblebee.
