This past Thursday, Post No Bills gallery held their second gallery exhibit which featured works by the likes of Anthony Micallef, Conor Harrington, Ian Francis, Jonathan Yeo, JR, Mode 2, Paul Insect, Stanley Donwood, Vhils and Zevs. Titled as the European Bailout Show, this exhibition focused entirely on some of Europe’s most interesting artists working today. For the film poster collectors out there, Mondo will be releasing their Cowboys & Aliens series today at a random time. One of the artists tapped to design one of them for the possibly soon to be cult classic is none other than Daniel Danger (interviewed) who is currently showing in NY (covered). Time Release Print: Audrey Kawasaki – “Charlotte”

AM stopped by for a visit with Audrey Kawasaki (interviewed) yesterday and caught her in the midst of signing her next time release print. If you remember, she put up a couple paintings for a fan vote back in May with the consensus winner being the image you see above – Charlotte (which originally exhibited at the Suggestivism show). Aaron Horkey will make his first appearance at SDCC, as part of Pushead’s PATCHWERK event, Thursday July 21, 4 pm at the Toy Tokyo booth (#5437). Aaron has made a beautiful silkscreened print entitled HOARFROST that will be available. It will be limited to 60 pieces with 10 artist’s proofs, sized at 12 3/4″ x 9 5/8″, and priced at $130. Openings: Daniel Danger @ Cotton Candy Machine

AM caught the opening recently of New England artist Daniel Danger (interviewed) at the Cotton Candy Machine in NY. The show featured works which nostalgically brought back memories of great movie scenes. His signature solitary structures and characters were centerpieces in a series of twilight-based compositions. As mentioned in our teaser, Daniel also brought out some print gems both old and new for some lucky attendees. Check it all out after the jump.

Takashi Murakami fans are in for a real treat as Emmanuel Perrotin is currently holding a retrospective of the limited edition prints created by the founder of the Superflat movement. The space has on display 160 prints created between 2001 to 2011. We drooled over some of Murakami’s rarest prints to date including coveted gems such as 727’s, Tan Tan Bo, Homage to Francis Bacon, Golden DOB just to name a select few. Preview: “Summer Group Show” @ StolenSpace

Tonight in London, the StolenSpace Gallery will be holding their annual Summer Group Show. Featuring represented artists as well as a few new names to the roster, this exhibition will include all brand new works in varied media and size as well as new print releases from D*Face (interviewed) & Word To Mother (interviewed). Other names you may recognize in the show include Sylvia Ji, Chloe Early, Hellovon, Eine, Mysterious Al, Oliver Vernon, and Josie Morway (see full list here). You may remember when we first introduced the Safewalls project from Cirque du Soleil to you back in April and then followed it up by updating you on the Miss Van release. Each show the highly successful Canadian circus puts on has its own theme as well as setting and it seems that they have paired up a great artist with each one. These usually don’t last long. James Jean (featured) has just released one of his sketches as a print here. The 9.5 x 12 inch limited edition is entitled Fungi III and is priced at $70 with a run of 100.
