Releases: Jeremy Geddes – “Warmer Air” Print

In what may tragically be the last Cosmonaut series work ever, at least according to the Australian artist himself, Jeremy Geddes (interviewed) has just completed a highly detailed, yet surprisingly small (14.5″ x 22.8″) painting, entitled Warmer Air. While perhaps not as intricate or refined as his larger works, the “small and fast” painting has some of the finest brushwork ever by Jem’s own standards. The painting blends his affinity for cinematic-esque compositions, with a deft sense of lighting, meticulously rendered architectural landmarks, and an […]

Openings: “Reality Bites” @ Post No Bills

Last week, Post No Bills held their third exhibition thus far entitled Reality Bites. The show centered around the work of various artists including Borf, Brett Amory, Sage Vaughn, Kelsey Brookes, Mark Jenkins, Morley, and Ravi Zupa who supplied new limited edition prints as well as hand finished multiples. Among some of the night’s highlights, Shark (seen previously here) by Brookes was one which clearly got the attention of the visitors. Featuring the use of neon-colored lines and an array of colors, the piece was […]

Releases / Teasers: Josh Keyes – “Scorch I” @ Sink or Swim Benefit Show (San Francisco)

After almost three years of tireless wishful thinking and outspoken groveling amongst diehard Josh Keyes collectors, Scorch I will finally see a print release this coming weekend. Originally exhibited at SCOPE NY in 2009, the painting, along with another now iconic work, really turned heads at the fair and marked a fairly sizable conceptual and technical leap forward, converting casual observers into permanent admirers of Josh’s work. Adding to the lore of it all, the paintings were released on a first-come, first-serve basis by David B […]

Openings: LUDO – “Metamorphosis” @ High Roller Society

Opening his first solo exhibition in London over the weekend, LUDO (interviewed) yet again showed his artistic dexterity in multiple mediums at High Roller Society. Much like his Zurich solo back in April, Metamorphosis (previewed) offered an strong selection of large graphite and oil drawings, focusing on his signature weaponized insects. Preferring to work on paper, these large scale works illustrate the French artist’s deft drawing abilities and provide reference to the massive paper wheatpastes he utilizes for his street work. The focal point of the […]

The large format edition sold out at the exhibition, but now this smaller and more manageable edition can be purchased at Kai & Sunny’s website. Or, you may want to try your luck on our giveaway. Releases: ‘Untitled’ / Bon Iver album art by Gregory Euclide

If you previously have had the pleasure of seeing Minnesota artist Gregory Euclide’s work in person, then you will surely attest to what a immersive experience his multi-dimensional mixed media work can be. David B Smith Gallery, who represents his work in Denver, have just published a limited edition giclee print – titled Untitled. You may be wondering how one of Euclide’s works would translate into an essentially flat medium, but the original image was created with 2-dimensional representation in mind as it features as cover […]
