Releases: Rachell Sumpter – “Old Friend” Print @ Tiny Showcase

Washington-based painter, Rachell Sumpter, has recently released a new print through Tiny Showcase. This vibrant image is entitled Old Friend and will be a 10″ x 10″ reproduction priced at only $25. Rachell has chosen Waking the Village as her artwork’s charity with $250 dollars from the sales will be donated to the organization. Discuss Rachell Sumpter.

Tomorrow, December 16th, Mondo will be offering up two new limited editions from Olly Moss featuring imagery from the whimsical and beloved film My Neighbor Totoro from Hayao Miyazaki. The release of the 20″ x 36″ 8-color screenprints coincides with a 15-title, 25-year retrospective film marathon from Japan’s Studio Ghibli, which plays at the IFC Center in New York City from December 16th to January 12th. Tomorrow afternoon, December 15th, at 1pm (Pacific Time), Mia Araujo (interviewed) will be releasing her Sleeping Sickness print in two editions, both signed and numbered. The more limited version will be larger at 16″ x 24″, priced at $150, and in a run of 25. The smaller one (8″ x 12″) will be limited to 75 and cost $65. For fans of KAWS that have collected the first two colors of his elusive SpongeBob print, the good news is he’s going to be releasing the anticipated third color to round out the trifecta on December 13th. Contest: Paul Insect x Post No Bills Giveaway

No more than a couple of weeks ago, Post No Bills unveiled a new solo exhibition (covered) by UK-based artist Paul Insect. During the event, specially-signed letterpressed items were given away to a fortunate few. Releases: El Mac – “Prayer” Print

Later today, at a random time here, El Mac will be releasing a rare print through Moon Editions in San Francisco. Entitled Prayer, this limited edition is based on a painting from a show earlier this year and will come in three different colors – Vermilion Red (edition of 49), Metallic Copper (edition of 39), and Teal Blue variant (Edition of 9). For the New Yorkers out there, this new release was sold at Jean’s signing at Reed Space, but now fans everywhere can purchase one for themselves.
