You may remember when we first introduced you to Ukranian street duo Interesni Kazki last year when we featured some of their work in Barcelona. Now, fast forward to this recent mural the two (AEC and Waone) painted in Ekaterinburg, Russia entitled Sisyphus, which references a character in Greek mythology except remixed with a modern twist. Streets: Conor Harrington (Ireland) Part III

Cork’s most renowned street artist Conor Harrington (interviewed) continued to paint up his homeland with this third wall in a series of murals featuring his views on the “cowboy mentality” in Ireland and the wild west “cavalier bandit attitude” that in his opinion has gotten the country into trouble recently. After collaborating with Liu Bolin in New York for the Chinese artist’s Hiding In New York series of works in front of his Bowery & Houston mural, street legend Kenny Scharf (interviewed) headed over to the City of Brotherly Love for his next project. Painting a crescendo of his creatures on the side of tall building, Scharf used his spray cans, scaffolding, and even an umbrella hat in completing this large Philly mural in just four days. As Andrew Hem (interviewed) got ready for his show opening next weekend at LeBasse Projects in Culver City, he took time to throw up this mural in the neighborhood, Washington and National to be exact. This large piece featuring Andrew’s colorful characters seen in many of his paintings is in the same area where Herakut and Case worked on walls when they were in town (also arranged by Warren Brand). Video: Ekundayo

Ekundayo (interviewed), who we hung out with at POW WOW earlier this year, recently sent us this video of him getting up on Kapahulu in Hawaii. Not a stranger to wall work in his home state (see here and here), the LA-based artist painted this newest piece after being inspired by an old Hawaiian legend of which he explains in the video above. The project was supported in part by 33THIRD.com and UMIWORKSHOP.com. Discuss Ekundayo here

As we mentioned in our last article, Conor Harrington (interviewed) is traveling his home country of Ireland and it looks like he has cowboys on his mind. This newest wall is in Ennis and was painted for the Ennis Street Festival. Miniature photographer Slinkachu has a gift for incorporating urban objects into his work with this newest piece in New York no different. Entitled House of God (Application to the Department of City Planning – Ref: 13-3470/C), this latest street intervention brings to mind the another piece he created for his solo at Andipa Gallery several months ago of a similar name and concept. It looks like the prolific anatomical street artist ROA has recently added his name to the long list of artists that have been invited by the Le Mur association in Paris to paint their billboard. Others who have been by before include Zevs, C215, Shepard Fairey, WK Interact, Swoon, Above and Nick Walker, although it looks like the Belgium-based painter is one of the only ones to creatively utilize the surrounding space with his x-ray vision. Earlier this week, Chinese contemporary artist Liu Bolin continued his Hiding In New York series (previous location) on Greenwich Street at the the Tiles For America site dedicated to 9/11.
