Setup: Moniker Art Fair – London 2010

We’re in London excited for the upcoming Moniker Art Fair on October 14th-17th (coinciding with Frieze Art Fair). It looks to be a rad event with many of the galleries that you’ve come to love on AM exhibiting like New Image Art, Carmichael Gallery, Black Rat Projects, CampBarbossa, Galleria Patricia Armocida and Anonymous Gallery. We caught the setup as the crews are busy setting up site specific installations. Steve “ESPO” Powers & Faith47 were on hand to create gorgeous murals on the outside of the […]

Installation / Preview: Matthew Feyld – “Untitled 1 & 2” @ Krets – Malmö & Neon – Brösarp, Sweden

We have been long time admirers of Matthew Feyld’s work here of AM, and we’ve watched him hone his skills over the last few years with numerous group and solo showings. The quality and precision of the Canadian artist is second to none and the fine detail of his line work has to be seen in person to be truly appreciated. Lately, Feyld’s work has been moving away from the largely figurative body of work seen in the past and more towards abstraction whilst still maintaining […]

Preview / Setup: “Not Quite Open for Business” @ The Hole

A few weeks ago, we updated you on the creation of “The Hole” gallery by two former directors of Deitch Projects (Kathy Grayson & Meghan Coleman) and that they were planning some sort of group exhibition with at least nine artists. A pretty ambitious plan for a gallery put together in the past two months to fill “the hole” left by Jeffrey Deitch right? Well, great projects tend to snowball and now this show now has over 20 key artists and the opening is in less […]
