While in town for Basel Week Miami, one of the exhibitions we enjoyed the most was put on by the Library Street Collective near Wynwood Walls. With a diverse list of artists involved including Revok, Shepard Fairey, Pose, Kelsey Brookes, Tristan Eaton, Smash137, Vhils, Hush, Sam Friedman, Maya Hayuk, Roids, Mad C, AJ Fosik, Cleon Peterson, Dave Kinsey, Hacer (seen above), Hense, Faith47, How & Nosm, and Swoon, fans had a chance to see a wide range of works. Held at a popup location (217 NW 25th St.) in Wynwood Walls, the Library Street Collective show features a solid lineup of artists, many of which are associated with their program in Detroit. An international cast including Revok, Shepard Fairey, Pose, Kelsey Brookes, Tristan Eaton, Smash137, Vhils, Hush, Sam Friedman, Maya Hayuk, Roids, Mad C, AJ Fosik, Cleon Peterson, Dave Kinsey, Hacer, Hense, Faith47, How & Nosm, and Swoon will be contributing works towards the group exhibition. Projects: Library Street Collective Indoor Murals @ The Z (Detroit)

The Detroit-based gallery, Library Street Collective, recently started a big project in downtown Detroit. In collaboration with Detroit entrepreneur/real estate mogul Dan Gilbert, they are commissioning 23 artists from all over the world to paint murals in a newly constructed mixed-use development (referred to as “The Z”). Known as The Garage Project or The Z, this project is now about 30% done. It’s time again for another Streets World Roundup where we review some the public art that you may have missfed recently. Leading things off is this sweet new mural form Phlegm. The Sheffield-based artist painted this Welsh Dragon in Roath, Cardiff for the Empty Walls Festival organized by the Modern Alchemists in Wales. You can check out more photos here.
