Hush For TAO Downtown (New York)

Over the weekend, TAO held a monster party to launch their new location at the Maritime Hotel in Chelsea, their second New York location. Streets: Banksy – “Better Out Than In” (New York) – Day 1

Bristol’s elusive street artist, Banksy, just launched a website, BanksyNY.com, which is dedicated to a new project he hinted at on his official website some 10 days ago. According to the site, Better Out Than In appears to be a month long street residency during which Banksy will be attempting to host an entire show on the streets of New York. Streets: D*Face (New York)

After a show (covered) and some street activity in London back in June, D*Face (interviewed) found time recently for a project in New York. Tasked with creating a mural that represented Premiere League Football showing on television stateside, he produced this stunner in the ever busy Time Square. La Tour 13 (Paris)

Over looking the Seine, La Tour Paris 13‎ is a project curated by Mehdi Ben Cheikh from Galerie Itinerrance. During a year, the entire building was painted by 100 international street and graffiti artists, each leaving their mark with murals and installations within the 36 apartments over 9 floors and cellars. Opening to the public for a month from October 1st, the building is due to be demolished in November, making it the largest temporary street art exhibition in France. Releases: “OUTSIDE THE LINES” Coloring Book @ MOCA

Last week, the MOCA in Los Angeles held a release party for OUTSIDE THE LINES: An Artists’ Coloring Book for Giant Imaginations, a publication curated by Souris Hong-Porretta (seen directly below). Many of the animators, cartoonists, fine artists, graphic artists, illustrators, musicians, outsider artists, photographers, street artists, and video game artists made it out to the event to interact with fans and sign copies. Streets: Kenny Scharf (Los Angeles) – Part II

Last month, we shared with you photos of a mural that Kenny Scharf (interviewed) painted in Los Angeles on the Davis Brothers’ Tire Pros building in Culver City. Recently, the New York street legend revisited the location and blessed the north wall of the structure with more of his signature imagery. London’s Moniker Art Fair is opening its fourth year show at the The Old Truman Brewery, in the heart of London’s cultural and creative center – East London. Streets: Natalia Rak (Poland)

Last week in Poland, Natalia Rak painted a new mural for the Folk on the Street 2013 event. Playing with ideas of scale, the clever piece features a girl watering a small plant or tree depending on your perspective and can be found on the side of the Institute of Chemistry building at the University of Bialystok. Nuart Festival ’13: Part VII – Dal East, Hush, C215
